MR CHOONG HON VOON

Mr Choong Hon Voon is a dealer of Phillip Securities.  Hon Voon has a passion in trading since young and he is now managing clients under Phillip Investor Hub. He has been in the financial industry for two years and involve in giving product analysis and investment seminars to investors.

 

Albert L. H. Cheng, Managing Director, Far East
World Gold Council

Albert Cheng joined the World Gold Council, Singapore regional office in March 1993 as a Regional Manager, Planning and Business Development, Far East, becoming Managing Director, Far East in 2003 with responsibility for operations in the entire region.

Prior to his many years in gold marketing, he was with Dentsu, Young and Rubicam, Hong Kong in the early 80's, where he was responsible for a number of popular and durable consumer products. He was Account Director when he left.

His career in gold marketing began in July, 1985 when he joined the Royal Canadian Mint as a Manager for South East Asia. His responsibilities include market development, regional sales and promotional support activities for the Mint's numismatic and Maple Leaf family of bullion products. In April 1990, he was promoted to Regional Manager, Asia Pacific with added responsibility in Japan and Korea as well. In 1991, Mr. Cheng had taken up additional responsibility as to help the International Olympic Committee, Centennial Coin Programme to build up the distribution network in Asia Pacific and to market and promote these coins throughout the region.

A graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Mr. Cheng holds a degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing; he is also member of the CAM in U.K. He is married with two children.

  

Tan Chee Yong
Manager, Business Development
State Street Global Advisors Singapore Limited

Chee Yong is a Principal at State Street Global Advisors Singapore and Sales Manager for Southeast Asia. He joins SSgA from the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC), where he was an intern for one year attached to the External Fund Management Department, the Quantitative Equities Department and the Europe and Asia Credit Group respectively. Prior to GIC Chee-Yong spent 3 years in the engineering industry with Agilent Technologies and Singulus Technologies where he was responsible for product development and client training.  

Chee Yong graduated with an MS in Wealth Management from Singapore Management University, and has an honors degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, with a major in electrical and electronic engineering. He has completed the Chartered Financial Analyst program and is awaiting the award of his charter from the CFA Institute.

 

MR ANTHONY HOE, MA (Econ), CFA, CFPCM
Head and Senior Fund Manager


Mr Anthony Hoe is the Head of Department and Senior Fund Manager of Phillip GEMS Managed Accounts.  He has been in the financial industry since he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Economics of Finance & Investment from the University of Exeter, UK, in 1983.
 

Mr Hoe has held the Chartered Financial Analyst charter since 1991 and was previously an investment analyst with OUB Securities, Citigroup and County Natwest and a fund manager with DBS Asset Management.  He was also a financial journalist with The Straits Times Press.
