1)  What is PhillipCapital Young Investor Group?

PhillipCapital has launched the Young Investor Group (YIG) initiative with the objective of giving young investors, a head start in investments. At PhillipCapital, we aim to provide you with the necessary knowledge and tools so that you are able to start trading with confidence.

5How do I qualify to be part of YIG?

If you are 18 -21 years old and have opened an account with us you will automatically be included under YIG program as a Young Investors (YI).

To qualify these are the criteria

●  Aged between 18 to 21

●  English literate

●  Minimum education level of ‘N’ ,‘O’ or equivalent

Equivalent includes the following:

Singapore

1. Higher NITEC and Master NITEC from ITE
2. Diploma in Arts Management (Performing Arts) from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA)
3. LCCI
4. ACCA
5. Senior Cambridge Certificate

China - Middle School Graduate Certificate (issued by school)
Indonesia - STTB (Surat Tanda Tamat Belajar) AND NEM (Nilai EBTANAS Murni)
Malaysia - SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia)
Philippines - High school diploma issued by the individual school
Vietnam - Diploma of Lower Secondary Education issued by Head of Bureau of Education and Training of district, precinct, town or city
Australia - Year 10 Certificate as issued by each State
Hong Kong - Form Five Standard
Thailand - High School Certificate
UK - GCE O
US - High School Certificate as issued by individual states

 

6)  What if I am above 21 years old do I still quality this program?

Yes, clients between the age of 21 and 28 years old will still qualified. They will be invited to participate in special events, promotions tailored for this program.

 

7)  What are the differences in the services and products offered to Young Investors as compared to those offered to clients who have attained 21 years of age?

The list of products Young Investors can trade on will be restricted to only the following products. Young Investor’s trading limit on equity trading limit (Buy limit) will be based on the amount of money in the account.

The products and accounts which are more complex are not offered to those Young Investors between the age of 18 to 21 years old include:

●  leveraging accounts such as, Margin, CFD or Extended Settlement Contract (ES) accounts

●  Futures and Forex

 

8)  Is there any penalty if I close my YIG account?

No. There is no penalty for closing the YIG account.
