How do I log in to POEMS 2.0?

POEMS 2.0 uses the same account number and password as Classic POEMS (sometimes known as POEMS Internet or P1).

What products are available in POEMS 2.0?

POEMS 2.0 has 10 product types over 15 global exchanges:

  • Stocks
  • ETF - Exchange Traded Funds
  • CFD - Contracts for Difference
  • CFD-DMA - CFD - Direct Market Access
  • Reg FX / Bullion
  • Mini FX / Bullion

How do I search for a counter?

You may search for a counter via the Search Name / Symbol box in the View Price widget under Prices (LP1) or Trade (LP2). Alternatively, you may use the drop down lists in the View Price widget to browse through the different global markets and exchanges to find a counter.

How do I add counters to my Watchlists?

There are 3 methods of adding counters to your Watchlists:

Method 1: Right-click on counter

  • Right-click on counter in Prices (LP1) or Trade (LP2) to display sub menu
  • Go to 'Add To' and select the Watchlist you wish to add to


Method 2: Hover and click on +WATCHLIST

  • Move your mouse over the counter
  • Click on the +WATCHLIST button and select the Watchlist you wish to add to


Method 3: Using the Basic Search or Advanced Search Function

  • Go to Watchlist sub-tab in Prices (LP1) or Trade (LP2)
  • Use the Basic Search or Advanced Search to search for your counter - a list of suggested counters will be shown
  • Click on the counter to add it to your selected Watchlist


How many counters can I add to each Watchlist?

Each Watchlist can contain up to 50 counters.

I have some Watchlists in Classic POEMS, do I still have to create new one for POEMS 2.0?

No, you do not have to re-create new Watchlists for POEMS 2.0. Simply import your Watchlist by following these steps:

  • In the Trade (LP2) tab, click on Global Watchlist
  • Select Import Watchlist - the left panel shows your Watchlists from P1; the right panel shows your Watchlists in P2
  • Drag and Drop the counters/watchlist from the left panel to the right panel - the counter will appear on your selected Watchlist in P2.

How do I trade?

There are 2 methods of submitting a trade in POEMS 2.0:

Method 1 - using Trade (LP2) tab

  • Click once on specific counter in the View Price widget. The selected counter’s last done price will show in the Trade widget on the right.
  • The Limit Price and Total Quantity* can be selected from the drop-down menu or through manual input. The Gross value is calculated based on the selection.
  • After selecting the Trade Action [BUY or SELL or SHORT SELL (SGX only)], enter in the password in the password field and click on the BUY/SELL/SHORT SELL button.
  • On the next screen, click SUBMIT and the order will be submitted.

*The figures in Quantity menu will remember the previous quantity keyed in for the same counter for convenience purposes. It does not reflect the amount you actually hold.

Method 2 - right click on counter

  • In the View Price widget, right click on counter to bring up the sub menu.
  • In the sub menu, select Trade to open a new Trade widget.

How do I trade Unit Share (SGX)?

There are 2 methods to trade Unit Share (SGX):

Method 1 - right click on counter

  • In the View Price widget, right click on counter to bring up the sub menu.
  • In the sub menu, select Trade Unit Share to open a new window with the Unit Share Trade widget.

Method 2 - Unit Share sub tab

  • In the View Price widget, go to the sub tab SGX Unit Share
  • Search for specific counters or browser counters using the dropdown lists
  • Click to add the counters to the Trade widget

*Do note that the SGX Unit Share widget has 5 separate Watchlists for you to add counters and view SGX Unit Share prices.

How do I view my orders?

You may view your working and past 7 days’ orders in the Order Status tab or Order status widget in Trade (LP2) tab.

How do I view Time & Sales, Trade Summary and Market Depth?

There are 2 methods to view Time & Sales, Trade Summary and Market Depth*:

Method 1 - right click on counter

  • In the View Price widget, right click on counter to bring up the sub menu.
  • In the sub menu, select Time & Sales, Trade Summary or Market Depth to open a new window with the respective module.

Method 2 - Trading Info widget

  • Time & Sales, Trade Summary and Market Depth are available via the Trading Info widget. To see how to add a new widget, please refer to the question ‘How do I add a new Tab or Widget?’ below.


*Market Depth for SGX and HKEx are only available after subscription of SGX Market Depth / Hong Kong Live Price services via POEMS rewards.

How do I view my outstanding positions?

You may view your outstanding positions by going to Acct Mgmt tab > Stocks > Outstanding Positions.

All your outstanding positions of your trades due for payment are shown here.

How do I view my holdings?

You may view your holdings by going to Acct Mgmt tab > Stocks > Scrip Positions for Margin, Custodian, Prepaid Custodian account type or Scrap Book for Cash Management and Cash Trading account type.

Scrip Position shows all share holdings that are held in custody with us. If your account is linked to CDP, your SGX holdings on Scrip Position may not be entirely accurate as you may have transacted through other broker accounts. You are advised to check your CDP statement for the accurate shareholding for your SGX shares.

Do note that Scrip Position is not available for Cash Trading accounts.

Scrap Book is an editable portfolio management feature that allows you to manually add contracts for your convenience (e.g. IPO allotment and corporate action such as bonus, share consolidation, rights, or share split). The holdings in the Scrap Book is an indicative and may not represent the accurate holdings of your portfolio as any corporate actions for all local and foreign shares such as stock splits, bonus issues, rights or entitlements of any form will not be auto-adjusted. Shares which are delisted or had become OTC will also not be updated.

You are advised to check your CDP statement for the accurate shareholding for SGX shares and always refer to Scrip Position for the accurate holdings for foreign shares.

What is the difference between a Tab and a Widget at POEMS 2.0?

POEMS 2.0 consists of a series of tabs and widgets. Tabs are similar to the way your web browsers e.g. Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer etc. are organised, which allows you to toggle between different tabs within one single window. By default, you will have a standard set of tabs, which you can add/remove/rename.

Within each tab is a workspace which you can add in trading tools (we call them widgets), group and resize them to your preference. Each workspace can contain up to 6 widgets.

How do I add a new Tab or Widget?

  • Click on the button on the top menu bar - a new empty tab will be created
  • Choose from our suggested preset tabs layouts
  • Alternatively, click customise to build your own workspace
  • Click to add or drag and drop from the widget store on the right
  • You may rename, delete or save your tab by clicking on the small arrow on the tab


Will I be able to keep my customisations after logging off?

Yes, the customisations you make to your platform will remain the same when you log in to POEMS 2.0 again.

Can I restore back to the original setting after all the customisations?

Yes, simply go to My Settings > Settings > Restore Workspace to restore to the original setting.

Can I change my password via POEMS 2.0?

Yes, simply go to My Settings > Settings > Login and Password.

Can I update my contact details via POEMS 2.0?

Yes, simply go to My Settings > My Account to update your mobile number or email address. To update your mailing address, please use this the Updating of Personal Particulars form.

Can I change the duration which POEMS 2.0 automatically logs me out?

For security reasons, you will be automatically logged out after a certain duration. You may change this duration by going to My Settings > Settings > Login and Password.

How do I redeem my rewards?

  • Go to the main Rewards tab, and click on ‘New Rewards Subscriptions’
  • On this tab, you will see items grouped in sub categories available for redemption, click the sub headers to display full list of items. Check the box next to the item for selection
  • Ensure sufficient rewards points are available
  • Click on ‘Submit New’ to proceed

Can I submit Buy or Sell order of more than 1,000,000 quantity in POEMS 2.0?

Yes. Simply go to My Settings > Select Settings > Trade Settings > Uncheck “Block Order if Qty > 1 Million” for the selected product(s) > Enter in your POEMS password > Click on Save.
