Online Account Opening

What account type can I open using this Online Account Opening Form?

You may open our Custodian (C) Account that provides you the ability to trade online for Shares, Unit Trusts and more. Refer to the Information Sheet for more information.

How do I open other Account types?

You may visit our Phillip Investor Centres with the supporting documents to open an account. The locations of our Investor Centres can be found here.

Do I need to fill in all the questions on the form?

The compulsory questions that requires you to fill up are indicated with the (*) icon in each line. You may refer to the ( i ) icon for more information if you have difficulty filling up certain questions. I am currently not working and do not have an office number, what should I indicate under the ‘Office Number(Main)’/ ‘Office Number (Direct)’ column?

You may fill in the column with ‘Home Number’ information to proceed with the form submission.  

I am currently a student and do not have an office number, what should I indicate under the ‘Office Number’/ ‘Office Number (Direct)’ column?

You may fill in the column with ‘Home Number’ information to proceed with the form submission.  

I am unable to complete the form filling and would like to fill it up later of the day. May I?

Yes, you may click on the ‘Next’ button and the information that you have keyed in for the page will be saved in our system. You may expect to receive an email within the next hour and a half after exiting our application form page. You can continue the form submission any time within the next 30 days using the direct link provided in the email that you had received.

How do I submit my original documents to Phillip Securities?

I have difficulties uploading the documents, what should I do?

You may check on the documents whether it is within the file size of 2.85MB and acceptable file format (Image File or PDF). If you encounter further technical difficulties, you may call 6531 1555 for technical assistance.

When will my account be ready to trade?

The account will be opened within 2 days if all the requirements are met.

Will I be notified when the account is successfully opened?

Yes, your Trading Representative (TR) will be contacting you once the account is opened.

When will I be receiving my poems internet access password?

You will receive it within 3 days from the account opening date.

If I’m a foreign student/worker and does not have office or home number, what should I indicate?

If you do not have both office or home number, you will not be able to submit your application online. Please visit our Phillip Investor Centres with the supporting documents to open an account. The locations of our Investor Centres can be found here.

If I do not have any contactable office, home or mobile number, can I still apply online?

No, you may not. Please visit our Phillip Investor Centres with the supporting documents to open an account. The locations of our Investor Centres can be found here.

Can I open an Account if I have a trading account with another securities firm?

Yes, there is no restriction to the number of trading accounts you can open.

Will I be able to open a Corporate Account Online?

We do not cater to Online Corporate Account opening at the moment. Please bear with us while we work on this. In the meantime, kindly visit our Investor centres to obtain and fill the required forms.

How long does it take to process a new Account?

With MyInfo verification, you will receive your account number immediately and your account will be activated for trading within 2 working days, subjected to approval and clearance by the relevant authorities. For non-MyInfo verification, account opening will take 3 days after bill payment verification is received.

I have not heard back from your company since submitting my application online, who can I contact?
