Terms & Conditions for “Are you FinanceFit?” Promotion Campaign (“Promotion”)
Promotion details
- “Promotion Period” refers to the period from 1 August 2022 to 31 January 2023 with both dates inclusive.
- “Promotion Plan” refers to the 3 month free personal accident plan.
- “Eligible Customer” are customers whose proposal for redeeming the Personal Accident Plan is submitted, reviewed and accepted by Phillip Securities Pte Ltd and ECICS Insurance during the Promotion Period by satisfying the eligibility criteria below.
- “Participating Branches” refer to the Phillip Investor Centres selected for this promotion.
- “Insurer” refers to ECICS Limited.
- “PSPL” refers to Phillip Securities Pte Ltd
- “PIC” refers to Phillip Investor Centre, a department under PSPL
An Eligible Customer is entitled to redeem a Promotion Plan in accordance to the terms and conditions of this Promotion period, and if the Eligible Customer fulfills the Minimum Eligibility Criteria(s) below, which will be submitted to the Insurer by the Participating Branches, and accepted by both the Insurer and PSPL during the Promotion Period.

Phillip Investor Centres (PIC) Participating Branches will issue the Promotion Plan application to the Insurer, which will then issue the redemption of the Promotion Plan to each Eligible Customer provided that the Eligible Customer meets the minimum requirements according to the Term and Condition of the Insurer.
Eligible Customers shall be solely responsible for ensuring that they provide PIC with a valid mailing address as stated in the registration form. The Eligible Customer agrees and accepts that neither PIC nor the Insurer will be responsible for any consequences arising from his/her failure to provide PIC with a true, complete and accurate mailing address and/or notify PIC of any change(s) to his/her mailing email address. The Promotion Plan will be issued within seven (7) working days after the policy is incepted.
- By participating in the Promotion, each Eligible Customer is deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions and any other instructions, terms and conditions that PSPL and the Insurer may issue from time to time.
- PSPL assumes no responsibility for incomplete, lost, late, damaged, illegible or misdirected forms or email communication, for technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed incomplete, distorted or delayed electronic transmission which may limit an Eligible Customer’s ability to participate in the Promotion.
- PSPL has the sole and absolute discretion to exclude any Eligible Customers from participating in the Promotion without any obligation to furnish notice and/or reason.
- PSPL reserves the right to disqualify or disregard any Eligible Customer who does not comply with the terms and conditions.
- PSPL may at its discretion forfeit the Promotion Plan, or, if already awarded, reclaim the Promotion Plan at the expense of the Eligible Customer without payment, compensation, or having to give any reason whatsoever in the event PSPL subsequently discovers that the Eligible Customer is not eligible to participate in the Promotion and/or to receive the Promotion Plan.
- PSPL reserves the right to replace any Promotion Plan with items of similar value at any time without prior notice.
- PSPL shall not be liable for any loss of, damage to, defects, delay, mis-delivery or non-delivery of the Promotion Plan.
- PSPL reserves the right to deal with any unclaimed Promotion Plan in any manner it deems fit.
- PSPL reserves the right to request for the Eligible Customers’ proof of eligibility, identity and/or otherwise for the purposes of verifying the Eligible Customers’ claim to the Promotion Plan at the time of collection.
- PSPL is under no obligation whatsoever to disclose the identity of the Eligible Customers or to publish the same for any reason at any point of time.
- The Promotion Plan is non-transferable, not exchangeable for cash, credit or any other items of equivalent value.
- The validity period of the Promotion Plan is three (3) months from date of inception. PSPL will be under no obligation to replace or pay to Eligible Customer the value of any period of the Promotion Plan that are not utilised by the Eligible Customers before the end of the validity period of the Promotion Plan as may be stipulated by PSPL and/or Insurer.
- By participating in this Promotion, each Eligible Customer agrees and consents to the collection, use and disclosure of any and all personal data of the Eligible Customer by PSPL and its advertising and promotional agencies for the purpose of administering and/or publicizing the Promotion, and providing the Eligible Customer with marketing, advertising and promotional information or materials relating to the products and services that PSPL offers.
- If an Eligible Customer provides PSPL with personal data of any third party, that Eligible Customer hereby:
- agrees on behalf of that third party to be bound by the Terms and Conditions contained herein; and
- consents on behalf of that third party, to PSPL’s collection, use, disclosure and processing of his/her personal data in accordance with the Terms and Conditions contained herein.
- warrants that he/she has obtained the said third party’s prior consent to such collection, use, disclosure and processing of his/her personal data by PSPL and that the personal data that the Eligible Customer provides to PSPL is true, accurate and complete.
- PSPL shall not be liable for any third party’s misuse of the Eligible Customer‘s submitted information and photograph as a result of the Eligible Customer taking part in the Promotion.
- PSPL may at any time at its absolute discretion, without prior notice or assigning any reason thereof or being liable to any person,
- suspend, cancel or terminate the Promotion, or
- delete, vary, supplement, amend, modify any one or more of the terms and conditions of the Promotion. PSPL’s determination of all matters in connection with the Promotion shall be final, binding and conclusive. PSPL is not obliged to give any reason or prior notice on any matter concerning the Promotion Period or the Promotion Plan. No appeal, correspondence or claims will be entertained. PSPL has the right and discretion to determine whether a party has met the requirements of the Promotion and/or to redeem the Promotion Plan. Eligible Customers shall not be entitled to any damages or compensation whatsoever or howsoever arising as a result of such amendment, suspension or termination.
- By participating in the Promotion, all Eligible Customers agree and undertake to, at all times, indemnify, keep indemnified, and hold PSPL, its employees and agents harmless against all losses (including direct, indirect, incidental and/or consequential losses), damages (including general, special, and/or punitive damages), demands, injuries (other than personal injury caused by PSPL‘s negligence), claims, costs, penalties, interest and fees (including all legal fees as between solicitor and client or otherwise on a full indemnity basis whether or not incurred in respect of any real, anticipated, or threatened legal proceedings), howsoever caused by, arising or resulting from, whether directly or indirectly, their participation in the Promotion, acceptance or usage of the Promotion Plan, and/or any breach or purported breach of these terms and conditions and/or any applicable law.
- PSPL makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the merchants’ goods and services in respect of the Promotion Plan. Any dispute about the same must be resolved directly with the Insurer. The Insurer Terms and Conditions apply.
- In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between the terms and conditions and the contents of any brochure, marketing and/or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these terms and conditions shall prevail.
- Any trademarks, graphic symbols, logos or intellectual property contained in any materials used in connection with this Promotion, in particular the Promotion Plan, are the property of their respective owners. PSPL is not affiliated with, or endorsed or sponsored by, such owners and their relevant affiliates.
- Failure by PSPL to exercise any of its right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.
- The Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Singapore law and the Eligible Customers agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
- A person who is not a party to any agreement governed by these terms and conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Right of Third Parties) Act (Cap 53B) to enforce any of these terms and conditions.
- In case of dispute, the decision of PSPL shall be final.
- PSPL, its affiliates and their respective employees and agents shall not be liable to any person for any loss, damage, injury, costs or expenses incurred, suffered, borne or arising from this promotion.
- By redeeming this Promotion Plan, the Eligible Customer agrees and consents to:
- PSPL transferring his/her personal data collected to the Insurer for the purposes of the insurance policy application;
- the Insurer collecting, using, disclosing and/or processing his/her personal data for the purpose of processing the insurance policy application as well as conducting surveys or promoting initiatives to the Eligible Customer;
- the Insurer collecting personal data about the Eligible Customer from sources other than the Eligible Customer and using, disclosing and/or processing the same, for the purposes as described above;
- the Insurer disclosing or transferring the Eligible Customer’s personal data to their third party service providers or agents (whether in Singapore or outside Singapore) for the purposes as described above.
- Where appropriate, the Insurer may share necessary data with other financial agencies, so as to improve the discharge of functions, and to serve you in the most efficient and effective way unless such sharing is prohibited by law. Please refer to dataprotection@ecics.com.sg for further details.
- The Eligible Customer understands that he/she is entitled to withdraw his/her consent for the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal data by notifying the Data Protection Officer (“DPO” ) of the Insurer, ECICS Limited (dataprotection@ecics.com.sg), in writing. The Eligible Customer also understands that by withdrawing his/her consent may mean that ECICS is unable to proceed with the application for the insurance policy.
- This campaign will be valid from 1 August 2022 until 31 January 2023, both dates inclusive.
- By redeeming this item, the Eligible Customer acknowledges that he/she has read and consented to these Terms and Conditions.
