Account Opening Overview
How do I convert the deceased’s existing account to estate account?
To begin the estate account conversion process please contact your PSPL Trading Representative or our Customer Experience Unit at talktophillip@phillip.com.sg.
Required Supporting Documents:
- Death Certificate (certified copy)
- Grant of Probate (if there is a will) OR Letters of Administration (if there is no will)
- Identity documents of Executor(s)/Administrator(s)
For documents issued outside the account’s jurisdiction, apostille/legalisation may be required.
PSPL Account Application Forms:
A separate account application form must be completed by each Executor/Administrator.
- Example of account name in form: “Estate of Mr ABC, deceased (Executor Mr XYZ)”
Please note that all forms must bear wet-ink signatures.
For SGX holdings held under CDP custody:
If the deceased held SGX-listed securities under CDP custody, please refer to the action matrix below for the applicable transfer process.
