What is POEMS?

Who can apply for a Phillip Investment Account?

Anyone above the age of 18 years old is welcome, subject to no delinquent record, not insolvent or not blacklisted.

May I open a Phillip Investment Account if I have a trading account with another securities firm?

Yes, you may.  

Can I open an account if I am residing overseas?

Yes, you may open an account through our Online Account Opening.
To facilitate the account opening process, we recommend that you prepare the following documents beforehand:
  • Passport with at least 6 month validity
  • Bank Account Information
    • Singapore Bank Account Details (DBS/POSB/OCBC/UOB/MAYBANK) OR
    • TT Details (TT Bank Name, Account Number & Currency Details)
  • Supporting document(s) for residential address issued within the last 3 months such as:
    • Telephone bills/Utility bills/Bank statement OR
    • Statement from any Financial Institutions in your country OR
    • Correspondence from any government bodies in your country

If your mailing address is different from your residential address, please provide additional supporting document(s) issued within the last 3 months that reflects your mailing address.

All copies of documentation have to be scanned or photographed from the original document.

Note: All supporting documents should be in English. Otherwise, all documents are required to be officially translated and certified by a qualified translator/translation company.

Why is my account suspended and how can I re-activate it?

Generally, account suspension happens when:
  • Clients key in the wrong account number with the right password more than 3 times.
  • Clients key in the wrong password with the right account number more than 3 times.
You may re-activate your account by calling our Customer Experience Specialists at 6531 1555 during office hours. Alternatively, you may contact your Trading Representative to re-activate your account.

Note:Your password is case sensitive.

I have forgotten my POEMS trading account password – how can I request a new password?

If you have forgotten your POEMS trading account password, here are 2 easy ways you may request for a new one here:

1. Via Email:

First, indicate your account number and answer three security questions. An email verification link will be sent to your registered email address. Click on the link provided in the email to confirm the request.

You will be redirected to a webpage to reset your password (note: an SMS token will be required to complete the process). You will be notified immediately via email when your password has been successfully reset.

2. Via Post:

Indicate your account number and answer three security questions. Your new password will be mailed to your registered mailing address within 3 - 5 working days.

I have forgotten my Trading Representative’s contact number, how can I retrieve it?

Your Trading Representative’s contact information can be found on POEMS 2.0. Upon logging in to POEMS 2.0, you may click on “Settings” located top right corner > “My Account” to check your Trading Representative’s contact details. Alternatively, you may call us at 6531 1555 (between Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 5.30pm) to retrieve your Trading Representative’s contact details.

Who can I contact if I would like to enquire about dealing matters?

You may contact your Trading Representative if you have enquiries regarding dealing matters. Other subjects which you may contact your Trading Representative regarding include:
  • Increase of Trading Limit
  • Corporate Actions (rights issue, etc.)
  • Order Submission through Trading Representative
  • Order Rejection

Are my monies and assets custodised with Phillip Securities Pte Ltd (“PSPL”) safe?

PSPL is regulated and supervised by The Monetary Authority of Singapore. In compliance with section 104 of the Securities and Futures Act (“SFA”) and the provisions of the Securities and Futures Regulations (“SFR”), we protect your monies and assets by keeping them in client segregated accounts separated from our own with proper record keeping and controls put in place.

Section 104A of the SFA provides that monies and assets belonging to customers are not available for payment of PSPL’s debts and shall not be liable to be paid or taken in execution under an order or a process of any court.
